A moderately easy hike to the top of the Diamond Head Crater will reward you with a spectacular view of the western side of Oahu.
Maui, the second largest of the islands, is marked by Haleakala, the largest dormant volcano in the world. At Haleakala National Park, you can take a fairly challenging hike to witness a magnificent sunrise from the volcanic summit.
Hawaii, the largest island, is also known as the Big Island to avoid confusing it with the entire state. It is home to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, where you will find Mauna Loa, the worlds most massive volcano, and Kilauea, one of the worlds most active volcanoes.
