Building The Best Network
If you want to succeed, build a great team. A great team multiplies your prospects for success; it enables you to form relationships with powerful people who can make your dreams come true. A great network supports your strengths, fills in your weaknesses and allows you to d build on your teammates accomplishments. When you have a great team, people assume that you are great and will stand in line to get to know you, do business with you, and help you. They will also be delighted to pay your price.
Okay, so you understand the value of a strong network. Now, how do you get started in building a great network?
Well, unless youve been living in total seclusion, you already have a network in place. And your network is probably more extensive than you realize. It may not be a great network yet, but its a beginning and a place from which to build. Your network most likely consists of your family, friends, schoolmates and business associates. It includes people with whom youve conducted business, socialized or otherwise interacted. In addition, the members of your network members networks are also members of your network. Therefore, if your accountant is a member of your network, so are all the members of your accountants network.
To build great networks, you need great people: great lawyers, doctors, dentists, accounts, insurance agents, friends, etc. If a disaster arose in the middle of the night, whom would you call? Can you count on him/her? Would he/she solve your problem? If a disaster arose in the middle of the night, who would call you? How could you help? Could they count on you?
If you want to build a great network, you must continually expand and upgrade your existing network. Everything always changes and what constitutes a great network today, could be less than great tomorrow. Network members drop out and lose interest: they change businesses, interests, and their lives and so will you. In networking, expanding and upgrading is a never-ending process: heads of states, CEOs, established leaders at every strata of society are constantly seeking to find the best people and incorporate them into their networks, add them to their teams. So the process of expanding and upgrading never stops; its what building a network is about.
To expand and upgrade your network requires focus. Once you realize that you have a network, its time sharpen your focus and begin to see with new eyes. Continually look for new and better network members and search for links that tie your network members with virtually everyone you meet and everything you experience. Search for opportunities for your network members and help them reach their goals.
Follow the example of the successful people in your life. Have you noticed how frequently they take new information and relate it to their particular area of expertise?
Have you observed that writers tend to see everything as material for potential stories, financiers always look at the bottom line, publicists think about promotional possibilities, comics turn everything into humor, lawyers probe for hidden liabilities and medical workers zero in on health?
Well, successful networkers operate on the same principle. Theyre obsessed with connections and instinctively search for them. Accomplished networkers see the world in terms of leads, contacts, and opportunities that will bring them closer to network relationships. They view the world optimistically and see every possibility as an opening that could lead them to their pot of gold.
Examine how the successful people you know process new information. Then apply their methods to your situation.
In most cases, your contacts have been around for quite a while. However, you confined them to specific niches. To you they were friends, family, business associates, or service people, not potential network contacts. When you expand your awareness to see those around you also as members of your network, you can refine your networking focus.
Focus on networking. Practice honing your networking focus until it becomes a highly-developed skill. Begin by:
* Asking yourself if people you know, meet or hear about could help you network.
* Clarifying precisely how these people could help. For example, introduce you to the mayor, recommend you for the membership in the garden club or inform you where they found their antique Venetian carnival masks.
* Find out what places and events would be worth attending to expand your contacts.
* Question how you can make the best use of information to connect you with your targets.
Developing networking focus isnt difficult and before long, it will become second nature. Work to get it down pat because the ability to focus sharply is a priceless skill that will bring you rewards for the rest of your life.

As we already stated a bear stock market does not come about as a result of a small dip in stock prices, it indicates sizable fall in prices over a prolonged period of time. It is most commonly accepted that in order for the stock market it to be considered a bear market there has to be a price fall of at least 20% in a key stock market index from a recent peak that happens over at least two months.
To summarize a bull stock market has investor looking to buy to increase their capital gains. They will be seeking out the best investment opportunities. And you should never, ever, under any circumstances, kill an ad because it is not

destroy them all and start fresh.
Are Volkswagens flawed pieces of junk? No, but an ad with the headline Lemon
gets your attention, doesnt it? It makes you want to read the story, which goes on
to explain how the particular car shown in the ad would never be driven because VW
cares so much it weeds out the lemons so you never get a bad car. Think what an
opportunity would have been missed if the folks at Volkswagen had taken that
headline too literally.
Think about it from this angle. Why do people read an ad or watch a commercial?
The majority do so because they find them entertaining and informative. If your ads
are all information and no entertainment, youve wasted your budget.
This is not to say that an ad should be created purely for entertainment purposes.
Again, a great ad is both entertaining and informative. The entertainment value
should be derived from a feature of your product or brand. In other words, what
youre selling should be the star of the show. Sounds simple enough, but it is often
hard to strike the right balance. Thats what makes advertising so fun.
How much information does your audience really need? What kind of story will they
find entertaining? These are questions that should be asked and answered early on
so that when you finally are presented with an ad or a campaign, you can judge the
work according to these preordained guidelines.
A good campaign will reach your target audience and talk to them on a personal
level. This has a valuable effect on your sales and reputation. A great advertising
campaign will do more than that. It will create a buzz outside of your target
audience.
Apple Computers 1984 commercial ran only once. But it is still one of the most
talked about commercials because it was rebroadcast on every major news show
and written about in every major newspaper for weeks and months. And none of
this cost Apple anything more than a single TV buy.
Its worth noting that Apples Super Bowl commercial helped make the company a
household name and created unbelievable demand for the new Macintosh
computer-yet the ad never showed the product or explained any details about it.
BMWs Mini Cooper was one of the first cars to be introduced in the United States
with no TV advertising. Blasphemy! Instead, they bolted the Minis to the roofs of
SUVs and drove them around major cities. They created tongue-in-cheek billboards,
interactive print ads and great guerrilla promotions. Most importantly, they created
a waiting list of customers who couldnt wait to get a Mini.
Companies that think bigger become bigger. Its a self-fulfilling cycle. If you just
think like a local operation, you might miss the opportunity to expand regionally,
nationally, or even internationally. Your advertising campaign should reflect the
direction of your companyeven if youre not yet there.

3 Reasons Why Owning a Commercial Property May Make You More Money in Real Estate Investment
If you ever have been a landlord for residential property, I am sure that you get complaints from tenants about leaking roofs in the middle of the night. But what keeps most people back from investing in commercial real estate is the fear of the unknown since not many of us are born commercial landlords. However we can learn from Donald Trump who spent his energy developing large office complexes and thats where he made his money. This article will highlight three reasons why commercial property real estate investment is better than private real estate investment.
Reason #1: Rental Yields may be better for commercial properties
For commercial property like shop space, the rental yield that you can command depends directly on the human traffic in the area. Thus if you invested money in such a property investment, the monthly cash flow would be more than an equivalent costing residential property investment in the same area.
In addition, most business owners when they come to view your property have already identified your street as a good one for their business in terms of human traffic and usually want to start renting from you, thus you have the upper hand in negotiations. Contrast this to most residential tenants who have a huge variety of properties to choose in your vicinity and if they do not like your property or your rental they can just as easily go to another property.
Reason #2: Improvements on the property
Business tenants generally treat properties different from residential tenants. A business owner who is renting property would generally fix small defects in the property so that he can carry on business and would not bother the landlord about such small problems. But additionally, most small business owners would generally carry out small improvements in the property that could boost the property value of your commercial property.
An example of this could be the installation of a PABX System and wiring up the whole office for a local area network. This could save your new tenant a lot of time and could be used to give additional value to the terms of the rental that you are providing.
Another example I heard recently involves office partitions. Law firms and accountants generally have the same set up in their offices and when law firms move, they generally would have to spend money renovating so if you have existing partitions in your commercial property, you might be able to get a whole professional firm over to rent your property. Note in contrast, in most residential property, tenants tend to love to puncture holes in walls without permission, repaint certain rooms and at the end of the lease and as a result most landlords have to do lots of repairs just to return the property into its original condition.
Reason#3: Rental Collection
Typically there are some tenants that are not very prompt with their rental payments and therefore the ability to choose tenants who would pay would save you lots of money and make you even more in the longer term. Imagine having to loose a few months of rental payment and spend money on lawyers to evict the defaulting tenant from your property.
If you have a commercial property, you can choose a tenant that has lots of goodwill established in your premises. This would mean that the tenant has a lot vested in your property and would therefore pay his rent on time to stay out of rental disputes. Contrast this with a residential property where the tenant can run away without paying your monthly rental and has nothing very much to loose. Collecting rental from residential tenants seems to be more difficult as well for some strange reason.
In conclusion, this article has highlighted three reasons why commercial property real estate investment may be better than private real estate investment. That said, making money with real estate is like value investing in stocks, the profit is made in the buying. The time spent looking for a good property will reap its rewards later in the form of good rental yield and capital appreciation over time. Take massive action today and look for the real estate investment property that you think meets your real estate investment needs.

As great as taking a vacation on cruise ships may seem, you still need to know how to plan a cruise ship vacation properly so you have the perfect cruise experience. You need to know about the different types of packages the cruise lines offer.
When planning a cruise ship vacation you need to know how to choose one that will meet your expectation or tailor to your needs. Here are some guidelines that you can follow to plan your cruise travel and enjoy the perfect cruise experience:
Think of who you want to take with you on your cruise vacation. There are many different packages offered by cruise lines. There are packages for the whole family and there are packages for single travelers.
Will you be taking the cruise vacation with children? Maybe you will take your significant other for a romantic getaway. There are cruise ships that are tailored for children and there are cruise lines that cater to single cruisers and honeymooners. There are even some ships that offer wedding services. What could be better than to get married on the ship and have your honeymoon built in?
Decide how long you want to cruise. If you just want to try it out, opt for a three day cruise. Normally, cruises start at three nights and can go anywhere from seven to fourteen days. But there are also world cruises that can last as long as three months. My advice is if you are going to cruise in Europe you should pick a fourteen day cruise because of the expense and long plane rides to get to your port of embarkation. If you live near a port and you just want to take a long weekend choose of three or four day cruise. Decide what cruise travel is best for you.
Choose the perfect destination for you and your family. Alaska is beautiful but can only be cruised in the summer months. If you live in the colder climes you may want to take a mid winter cruise to the Caribbean or even South America. If you want your cruise travel to be in the Caribbean and you want to spend two weeks on your cruise vacation, choose a line that alternates between the Eastern and Western Caribbean. This cruise vacation takes you to many different islands.
The cruise lines have a variety of destinations to choose from. Visit your cruise travel agent to go over the different itineraries or check out the individual websites of the cruise lines.
Consider the port of departure. Since 9/11 cruises have been emphasizing home port cruising. Now there are many cruises that depart from Bayonne, New Jersey, Galveston, Texas, or Seattle, Washington, not just Miami and Fort Lauderdale.. Depart from the one closest to you and you will save money on expensive airfare.
Speak to a knowledgeable cruise travel agent. Make sure they have personally sailed on many different cruise ships so they can give you an honest opinion on what each cruise line has to offer and which would give you the perfect cruise experience.
A cruise travel agent will also be able to supply you with cruise tips. Scour the cruise reviews for additional cruise tips.
Large cruise lines have a variety of activities and facilities that you can use on the ship. If you like to gamble then choosing a cruise ship with casinos is probably right for you. Or if you are taking your kids with you, a cruise ship that offers activities and facilities for children would be the best choice for your cruise travel. For instance, Disney is, of course, geared toward children but they do not have casinos. So if you are taking the family but you want to gamble steer away from Disney and choose one of the other major cruise lines. Almost all of them have childrens programs. If you dont want to be on a ship with children sail on one of the fancier lines that dont cater to children. Here, again, it pays to read as many cruise reviews as you can to pick up additional cruise tips.
Cruise vacations do not necessarily mean that you have to spend all your vacation time onboard. All the cruise ships offer land and shore excursions. The cruise lines offer pre and post cruise land vacations usually for two or three days.
Land excursions are a great way to explore different cultures and destinations when taking a cruise vacation. You can choose from many activities once you reach a port of call. You can go kayaking, scuba diving or go shopping in the markets of the ports of call.
Following these guidelines will give you some ideas on planning your cruise vacation properly. Proper planning will give you a more exciting cruise experience.
